Cookies
In the Pittsburgh area the custom is to have a large cookie spread at every wedding. This meant an 8’ table of Italian cookies, everyday favorites, and most of all fancy cookies of every kind. Have you ever heard of lady locks or clothes pin cookies? This recipe was handed down to me many years ago. It is a small puff pastry with a creamy filling. Years ago they would make lady locks on clothes pins wrapped in foil. I now have aluminum pins to wrap the puff pastry on while I bake them. When they are cool I fill each one with a creamy whipped vanilla filling. They melt in your mouth. Yummm!
As an alternative to a wedding cake there is a Viennese Table, with many different desserts from cookies, to cheesecakes. They are all made from scratch here at Linda’s Cakery. The pricing depends on what you are looking for.
